Mentorship Program Eligibility & Requirements


Applicants applying for this program must meet the following eligibility requirements:

  • Must be a resident of Massachusetts.
  • Must be 18 years or older by the start of the class. 
  • At least half of each cohort must live in an Environmental Justice Community and/or meet Low-Income Eligibility requirements.
  • Must be a US Citizen or if not a US Citizen, the student must be able to attest in writing that they have valid US work authorization paperwork to provide to an employer upon receiving an internship or job offer.  
  • Having a valid driver's license and access to a car is beneficial, but not required. 
  • Must have a computer and reliable WiFi (laptop preferred).
  • With the exception of trade school students in their last semester of their senior year, all applicants to the Mentorship Program must have a high school diploma or equivalent (e.g., GED, trade school certification, or other recognized credentials). This requirement ensures that participants possess the foundational education needed to succeed in the program.
