NEHERS Rating Field Inspector Certificate requirements:
- Pass OSHA-10 Certification
- Attend Orientation Meetings
- Attend all Online Classes
- Complete 20 Hours of Job Shadowing
- Resume and Cover Letter Workshop and Revision Deadlines
- Two Field Workshops with Tim Poole
- Weekly Success Coach meetings
- Weekly Career Mentor meetings
- Pass the RESCAZ Exam
- Pass the Rater Simulation Practical Exam
- Transition to Employment Group meetings
- Any and all other required program activities, meetings, and assignments
After receiving the NEHERS RFI certificate, RFI candidates must complete additional RESNET requirements under the supervision of their employer’s provider in order to obtain their RESNET RFI Credentials (RFIIN).
NEHERS HERS Modeler Certificate requirements:
- Pass OSHA-10 Certification

- Attend all Online Classes
- Complete 20 Hours of Job Shadowing

- At least one Field Workshop with Tim Poole
- Weekly Success Coach meetings
- Weekly Career Mentor meetings
- Pass the RESCAZ Exam
- Pass the Rater Simulation Practical Exam
- Transition to Employment Group meetings
- Pass all three Mentored Models
- Pass the HERS Modeler Exam
- Any and all other required program activities, meetings, and assignments
Note: Information subject to change for Summer 2026 cohort. Modeler candidates must pass both the RESCAZ and Rater Simulation Practical exams. Those that do not pass both exams will not be allowed to continue into the Modeler component. Modeler students who do pass RESCAZ but do not pass the Rater Simulation Practical can receive an RFI Course Completion Certificate.
