Multifamily Energy Specialist/HERS Rater

The Basics — Our energy services team currently has an opportunity available for a Multifamily Energy Specialist/HERS Rater. This role involves working closely with our internal and external project teams to properly inspect, test, find and evaluate energy efficiency problems in multifamily single and high-rise buildings.
• Assist our clients by providing technical field rating services for their new or existing buildings. On a day-to-day basis, this will involve field inspections, rater testing, forensic diagnostics, and interactions with builders, architects and engineers.
• Become our in-house expert on energy efficiency programs.
Realistically, we need someone with an associates or bachelors degree in engineering, construction management, architecture, or other related field. Most important is a hands-on understanding of building science, mechanical systems and energy efficiency requirements. It will accelerate your success if you have at least two years of technical rating experience, as well as HERS Rater or BPI Multi-Family Building Analyst certification.
This position also requires the following:
• Ability to move up and down ladders, in attics and crawl spaces
• Ability to carry up to 50 lbs
• Ability to work in the outdoors, non-conditioned buildings, and normal office settings
