Description: Innova Building Advisors, LLC, a Philadelphia-based building energy and sustainability services firm, seeks an experienced HERS rater and green building specialist with an interest in the affordable housing sector to join our New England office. This is a front facing position requiring direct collaboration with developers, architects, engineers, building managers and contractors. Duties include HERS Ratings and ENERGY STAR certifications; design review; green building program coordination and certifications; field inspections and testing, including blower door and duct blaster testing; supervision of field inspectors and junior staff. This is a work-from-home position but will require frequent travel throughout New England and upstate New York.
Qualifications: ideal candidates have experience with EPA ENERGY STAR home or commercial certification projects, Enterprise Green Communities, ICC-700 NGBS and/or LEED BD+C programs. Candidates must hold current credentials as a HERS Rater and be able to review and interpret construction documents including architectural and MEP drawings and specifications. Strong preference given to candidates who also hold PHIUS+ Rater/Verifier, PHIUS/PHI CPHC, NGBS Green Verifier and/or LEED credentials. Candidates must have strong verbal and written communication skills and expertise with MS Word and Excel applications. Additional consideration given to candidates with backgrounds in construction or building maintenance. Travel and vehicle required.
