Covid-19 challenges and opportunities

Hi All,

In the last NEHERS Board meeting call, we discussed the possibility of a timely webinar on HERS Rating industry challenges and opportunities relating to Covid-19.

We thought of inviting particular people to speak about potential remote QAD field reviews and potential added trainings with potential funding for new or existing  HERS Raters and folks in associated industries.

What do you all think? Are there other challenges and opportunities that you would like to hear about? Or anything you'd like to share?

I'm hoping everyone will be safe and stay well!

Re: Covid-19 challenges and opportunities

Hi Mike and NEHERS community,

I love the forum! I think a COVID-19 webinar is a great idea. We're experiencing this differently in different states. Some states have listed construction and related services as "essential work" and others have not. Some Rating companies will be impacted more than others. It would be great to discuss these challenges and think of ways we can support the Rating community during this time. The industry will be forever changed and shaped by this, and we want to be part of the shaping!

Re: Covid-19 challenges and opportunities

Hi Mike.

Yes, a webinar would be great.

I'm interested in hearing about developing remote inspection protocols (RESNET on that?)

Also, any research relating to optimal indoor air quality and immunity or impacts on virus effects etc..   After this, balanced ventilation systems may be an easier sell.

Stay healthy,

Re: Covid-19 challenges and opportunities

Hi Mike,

Yes any advice we could get on this issue would be helpful, no way of knowing how long the effects will last.

Hope you are well too.
