Description: This presentation will cover the grassroots and municipal efforts towards achieving a Net Zero stretch energy code in Massachusetts, as well as action items going forward to make a Net Zero building code a reality in MA and beyond.

Bio: Rebecca joined MCAN in the fall of 2018 as a Quaker Voluntary Service Fellow. Rebecca’s passion for social justice and grassroots organizing stems from her involvement with community service while a student at Wellesley College. In college, Rebecca served local communities by directing an after-school program for elementary students in South Boston, and by canvassing with the Wellesley College Democrats. Her senior year, she conducted research on the environmental impacts of a man-made pond system on campus, a project that sparked her interest in clean energy and climate change activism. This year, Rebecca is excited to join MCAN’s fight for local climate action as a community organizer.
